Job Description
- Monitor food stock and place orders
- Check freshness of food and discard outofdate items
- Experiment with recipes and suggest new ingredients
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area
- Set up the kitchen with cooking utensils and equipment, like knives, pans and kitchen scales
- Study each recipe and gather all necessary ingredients
- Cook food in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Applicants must reside in Abuja
- Proven work experience as a Chef or Cook
- Advanced knowledge of culinary, baking and pastry techniques.
- A minimum of 5 years experience and above in the hotel industry
- Kitchen chefs/cooks must be experienced in the preparation of vast national (local) and continental food menus.
- The candidate must be experienced in catering for outdoor events on a regular basis.
- The candidate must be able to develop and implement a strict hygienic food preparation process in the kitchen area.
