SSA Sourcing Lead
Role Summary/Purpose: Delivery Experience
Due to the expansion of the newly created global Sourcing CoE, this role offers the opportunity to lead assignments in identifying candidates for GE’s most critical positions in GE Sub Sahara Africa. You will manage key stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and that the Sourcing function is making a difference to caliber of people GE hires accross all GE businesses in SSA.
Essential Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include:
– Executing sourcing assignments for open and pipeline positions in SSA
– Market Mapping/Research
– Build ideal candidate profiles, EVP and sourcing maps
– Candidate identification & qualification
– Use GE’s CRM and other search tools
– Sell the GE opportunity to candidates
Attraction & Candidate Relationship Management (CRM) Tactics
– Contribute to the development of tactics for each talent community
– Execute tactics and monitor effectiveness
– Identify, train & manage ‘Ambassadors’ for each of the talent pools to assist in executing tactics and engaging candidates
Relationship Management
– Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders – OT&D, HR, Hiring Managers, GTR COE Leaders & candidates
– Be an ambassador for the Sourcing function
– Be seen as a subject matter expert – influence, educate and persuade stakeholders
– Manage relationships with external providers i.e. RPO
Qualifications/Requirements:
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
– Design and implementation of end to end sourcing strategies for attracting, engaging and qualifying passive candidates across multiple business functions/disciplines, within an RPO or in-house environment
– Delivering proactive sourcing / talent pooling services either in a recruitment or research role
– Ability to manage and influence business leaders and Human Resource professionals to drive sourcing and ensure its success
– Establishment and ongoing management of strategic talent communities
– Compiling relevant Market intelligence and knowledge, core industry trends, competitors analysis , salary benchmarking and general employment market trends
– Identifying innovative sourcing channels and search tools to attract best talent and ensure GE is the market leader in this field
– Wing-2-wing recruitment/research experience within an in-house, corporate RPO or recruitment agency environment
– AIRS (Certified Internet Researchers) or equivalent accredited preferred
– Relevant tertiary qualification in a business discipline preferred
Skills
– Strong operational knowledge of sourcing technologies and associated CRM tools
– Can perform ‘Boolean’ searching techniques
– Strong knowledge of social media used as recruitment tools, specifically LinkedIn, Twitter, You Tube and Facebook

– Can promote the purpose and strategy of the Sourcing COE so that stakeholders can understand and value the services offered
