GENERAL MANAGER


JOB DESCRIPTION

We acquired a Hotel in Calabar, Cross Rivers State.

A self motivated person is required to turn around the hotel and put it proper place in the hospitality industry in Cross River State.


KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Manager sees him or herself as the image maker and conduct him or herself as a true ambassador.

Ensure retainerships are secured from companies.

See that the hotel obtains alt relevant licenses.

Develop menu and grow the kitchen to handle outdoor catering. Coordinate all methods of maintaining and increasing business volume.

This includes advertising, sales promotion, community relations, special sales projects.

Procure new and repeat business for the hotel by maintaining contact with airlines, travel Agencies, Commercial Houses, Private Clubs and Professional Associations within the community and neighboring markets.

Conducts interviews for hiring of staff to ensure staffing productivity.

Is up-to-date with current market trends and the competition, negotiate Suppliers agreements u to the best value for money.


QUALIFICATIONS & JOB ATTRIBUTES

Bachelors Degree (minimum of second class lower)

Professional qualification (an added advantage)

Minimum of 10 years experience in hospitality management experience.

Knowledge of Calabar and its environs.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER


KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and sustain good formal / informal relationship with predetermined client personnel at all levels.

Partner indigenous contractors for key business win/risk sharing Develop portfolio to create value for the company

Develop relationships outside traditional ones.

Identify opportunities for alliances relationships.

Specifying market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers and non-customers.

Driving a solution set across development teams (primarily Development/Engineering, and Marketing Communications) through market requirements, product contract, and positioning.

Developing and implementing a company-wide go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute.

Analyzing potential partner relationships for the product.

Develop portfolio to create value for the company

Identify opportunities for alliances relationships.


QUALIFICATIONS & JOB ATTRIBUTES

Bachelor’s Degree (minimum of second class lower)

Professional qualification (an added advantage)

Minimum of eight years professional experience and not over 40years old

CHIEF ACCOUNTANT


KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Reports directly to the company’s MD/CEO on all finance, costing, budget & treasury matters.

To prepare monthly management accounts with all relevant schedules and ratio analysis.

Develop and implement annual Operating budget for the company & generate variance analysis.

Recommend policies on cost control & monitor cost to ensure they are within approved Budget.

Monitor the company’s tax filings to avert exposure to the risk of fines and penalties.

Liaise regularly with the company’s external auditors, tax consultants and others.

Prepare periodic cash flow statements and use it to advise management on business decisions.

Carry out periodic joint reconciliations with Vendors and key customers on outstanding balances.

Monitor and ensure compliance with company’s financial policies, standards, rules & regulations.

Advise management on latest financial reporting requirements, including on IFRS compliance.

Manage the company’s banking relationships & insurances for maximum beneficial efficiency.

Develop job description for all finance team members & assess their performances periodically.


QUALIFICATIONS & JOB ATTRIBUTES

A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or in any other related field. Professional accounting qualification will be an advantage; eg. ACA, ACCA or CPA.

Must be IFRS compliant.

Minimum of seven (7) years cognate practical working experience at management level

Must have good working knowledge of Peachtree and SAP accounting software,

Must have the ability to write Reports & Correspondences.

Ability to effectively work under light reporting deadlines and long hours.

Good negotiating skills in respect of interest & fees on facilities to be obtained from banks.

An efficient Team Leader with strong organizational skills and keen attention
