Action Against Hunger | ACF-International works to save lives by combating hunger and diseases that


threaten the lives of vulnerable communities, through nutrition, food security, water and sanitation, health and advocacy.



Management Information System (MIS) Officer



 



The Management Information System (MIS) Officer will play a key role in implementing the food for peace Programme (FFP) a project being implemented by Action Against Hunger (ACF).  The MIS Officer’s role will be largely limited to the establishment, management and capacity building of local staff on project information system for greater project reporting and overall impact.  From October 2015- to May 2016, FFP will provide 5000 to 6000 bene an unconditional grant of for 7 months in Borno state in a bid to contribute to the eradication of extreme hunger, malnutrition and poverty in Northern Nigeria.



Summary of Key Objectives:



•    Management and maintenance of an integrated MIS into the FFP to ensure compliance with donor objectives and methodology.
•    Ensure proper and timely implementation, management and capacity building on MIS
•    Document good practice from planning, implementation, and management of MIS
•    Represent ACF in relevant local forums and technical working groups where necessary



Qualifications;



Bachelor Degree in IT, MIS or related field. Higher level degree preferred. 



Essential Skills & Experience:  



•    Professional, motivated, open, creative, mature, responsible, flexible and culturally sensitive
•    Minimum two years’ experience  working with donor funded programming
•    Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office programming (Access,  Outlook, Excel, Power Point, and Word)
•    Proven ability to create management information systems for large amounts of data within a complex program
•    Knowledge and experience in using database specific software
•    Excellent communication, writing and analytical skills
•    Fluent in  English
•    Experience designing and leading capacity building and training for national teams.
Commitment to ACF mission, values and policy



Preferred



•    Fluent in Hausa
•    Previous experience in M&E, MIS of cash based interventions (i.e. cash for work, cash transfers or cash vouchers)
•    IT troubleshooting capabilities
•    Previous experience with ACF



Storekeeper



 



Following the direction of the Base Logistician, the Storekeeper will be responsible for close follow-up of stocks while ensuring that all deliveries physically conform with DN’s; update the monthly inventory and write any report if useful; keep the stock forms up to date; advise Log Base to place or notice to orders for when the state of supplies reached the minimum stock that has been determined



Summary of Key Objectives:



•    Ensure management of the base’s stocks
•    Manage fuel stock
•    Supervise cargos and shipments
•    Check the quality of the RUTF and drugs to be stocked
•    Reporting 



Qualifications;
Lower high school leaving certificate or equivalent, training in stock management and experience as a storekeeper Essential



Skills & Experience:  



•    Ability to read and write
•    Good capacity to work in a team
•    Knowledge of Arithmetic
•    Rigour
•    Meticulous
•    Knowledge of English
•    Computer skill on Excel Mechanical skills 



Preferred



•    Experience in Logistics and ware housing
•    Ability to carry out small repairs in office and guest house.



Procurement Officer



 



The main objective of this role is to support the Logistics Manager in all procurement activities within the ACF Nigeria mission. Throughout the procurement process, he/she will prepare an collect all documentation whilst ensuring compliance with ACF procedures, liaise with suppliers on daily basis, conduct market assessments, request quotations, evaluate supplier bids and follow up on procurement authorization, delivery schedules and supplier payments. 



Summary of Key Objectives:



•    Support Logistics Supply Chain, review and prepare all documentation during the procurement process.
•    Monitoring and supervision of the contract implementation than ensure compliances
•    Supervision of Delivery issues
•    Reporting



Qualifications; Essential Skills & Experience:  



•    Minimum Bachelor degree  or equivalent
•    Minimum 2 years’ experience in procurement and/or logistics position
•    Some experience in supervising Staff
•    Strong computer skills in MS Office, especially MS Excel
•    Rigorous, with strong organization skills and attention to detail
•    Strong communication skills
•    Strong negotiation skills
•    Professional level of English
•    Ability to work in complex environment and can bear the work load 



Preferred



•    Previous experience working for NGOs an asset, particularly international and/or health related NGOs
•    Fluency in one or more National/regional languages an asset
