What Is the Primary Role Of Certified Nursing Assistant?

If you talk about a profession that serves the humanity then doctors and nurses are the first ones coming to your mind. It’s true that these professions are directly serving human being when they are not well. This could be a reason that we feel happier to be in the company of a doctor than a FBI detective; it can be a psychological fact that we always feel secure more with the doctor or with any medical related person than any other professional.

Our brain understands that if anything goes wrong with our body, then only doctor or nurse will help us. There is a reason that this career has impressive job status, talking about the nurse responsibility it is not an easy job to do. When you have a great number of patients laid in a big hall and you have to take care of each of them, and give medicines on time, checking the blood pressures and body temperature etc. And in some case it’s not just once a day, under certain circumstances, a nurse has to check a patient many times during an hour and imagine if you have 3 or 4 patient with the same condition what will you do?

Considering this problem, The American Red Cross has come up with the CNA. CNA stands for certified nurse assistant and it is a certification where people get training in less time to assist the registered nurses and their daily routine tasks. Certified Nurse Assistant are trained by the highly skilled people to make sure that people taking CNA training will get trained properly. So there will not be any problem for them to pass the certification exam. The training is based on basic nursing skills and a brief knowledge of laboratory procedure and to maintain the records. This is the most demanding career as in this era of recession where people are losing their jobs. The new Certified Nursing Assistant will be getting $10 to $16 per hour.

This is a very attractive career in terms of having flexible job timing and the salary package. The CNA will notice that many of the licensed nurses started their career in health care as Certified Nursing Assistant.

For the certification, you don’t need to pay high fees and you don’t even need to go to the medical school, you can have CNA classes online and if you are not able to pay the fee you can have classes for free as well as this certification is very promising in job manner. So there are many organizations who will be giving you free CNA classes. And once you have pass the exam and you have the certification you can work in that organization for some time according to the contract terms and conditions.

Once you become a certified nursing assistant, you will be working in hospitals and will be visiting your patients to their homes as well. The CNA training is more relate to the patient care, but you will be checking the patient’s vital signs and while assisting registered nurses with their daily routine work. You will also learn the cleaning and monitoring of medical equipment from time to time.
