RESTORING FAMILY LINKS (RFL) FIELD OFFICER


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

On a daily basis, interviews beneficiaries, including minors, with RFL needs, and responds to their enquiries, including by documenting RFL cases, providing phone calls, collecting and delivering Red Cross Messages

Ensures appropriate follow-up of cases requiring active tracing in the field

Maintains regular contact with enquirers obtaining and providing updates when/if available

Organises field trips for all RFL-related activities

Participates in assessments in Damaturu and Yobe state, if situations allows, to identify potential RFL needs and/or RFL follow up

Maintains close coordination with the Nigerian Red Cross Society (NRCS) volunteers on RFL

Disseminates on ICRC and RFL activities with formal and informal levels of audience

Develops and maintains positive working relations with community leaders and contributes to the acceptance of the ICRC and RFL activities

Provides field trip reports and regular, punctual updates on the RFL caseload

Contributes to the filing of documents related to the RFL caseload


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

University degree

2 years work experience in humanitarian work

Excellent command of written and spoken English, Hausa and Kanuri

Good computer skills: knowledge in Excel, Word, if possible PowerPoint.

Good knowledge of Nigerian geography

ACCOUNTANT


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Processes accounting operations of the Sub-Delegation and its sub-site.

Encodes accounting data in the dedicated software

Follows up and processes accounting corrections in the software

Checks accounting documents are complete in compliance with financial rules in force

Gathers and prepares accounting documents for shipment to Abuja upon monthly closing

Processes monthly closing in the accounting software and prepares documents related to that operation

Ensures on daily basis that no book has any pending balance

Prepares accounting vouchers with respective supporting documents and presents them for validation to Finance & Admin Manager


MINIMUM REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

University degree in accounting or any relevant field

2 years work experience in a similar field

Good command of spoken and written English

Very good computer literacy

Knowledge of social and economic environment of the North-East Nigeria

PURCHASER


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for the procurement of all requested goods for the ICRC Sub Delegation in Port Harcourt securing the best correlation of quality, price and delivery time

Ensures orders are delivered on time and items meet the specification required.

Prepares each Purchase Order (PO) file according to ICRC standards

Performs necessary paperwork and assures follow up with administration and other departments

Updates and maintains knowledge about main suppliers; checks the market for potential new suppliers.

Liaises with Dispatch and Transport to decide on Transport mode and prioritize dispatch of cargo.

Follows eventual problems and suggests improvement in any part of the supply chain


MINIMUM REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor Degree, Associate Degree or equivalent higher education degree in administration, logistics, purchasing or similar field.

Additional vocational training in administration, logistics or purchasing.

Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics, purchasing, administration or similar position in commercial or humanitarian sector.

Advanced conversational and written English. Other Niger Delta dialogue is an asset.

Good computer skills (Microsoft office)
