TCS follows a different approach for placement. The procedure followed by TCS for placement is:
1. Aptitude test
2. Technical HR round
3. MR/ Personal interview round
The test conducted by TCS is a online test. The pattern followed varies from college to college. During the past years the aptitude questions were based only on TCS previous year question bank but now it’s not the same thing. During the current fiscal year it has gone to colleges like Anna University, SRM Engineering College, Thiagaraja college of Engineering and SIT.
Pattern followed in TCE:
Online Aptitude test consists of three sections and a total of 1 hour and 30 minutes was given.
1. Verbal Aptitude (synonyms, antonyms) (Time = 20 minutes)
2. Quantitative aptitude (problems relating to various topics) ( Time = 40)
3. Critical Reasoning (Time = 30 min)
Pattern followed in SRM:
Online aptitude test was of 40 minutes consisting completely of quantitative aptitude covering topics like probability, (time, distance and speed ), cubes and dices.
Pattern followed in SIT:
Online test consist of 35 questions in 80 minutes covering mainly probability, number series, time distance speed, probability of cubes and dices.
Other process followed was the same and only aptitude test pattern was varied. For verbal ability and critical reasoning GRE Barron’s 12th Edition was suggested. Quantitative ability is not constrained to any particular book. Clear idea of concepts is required to clear the test. Abhijit Guha and R.S.Aggarwal are recommended for clear understanding of concepts.
