Admission / Screening Exercise Information for Different Universities


UNIVERSITY OF LAGOS – 2016/2017 POST-UTME SCREENING EXERCISE 


The University of Lagos online registration for the Screening Exercise for Admission into All Courses/Programmes for the 2016/2017 Academic Year will commence from Wednesday, August 3rd to Wednesday, August 24th, 2016.


Eligible Candidates


  • Candidates who made University of Lagos their first choice in the 2016 UTME and scored 200 and above are eligible for the screening.

  • In addition, candidates must possess five (5) credit passes at one sitting in relevant O/level subjects including English Language and Mathematics.

  • Candidates, who will not be sixteen (16) years of age by Monday, October 31, 2016 are not eligible and need not apply.

  • Candidates who are awaiting results are also eligible to apply for the screening. Such candidates will be allowed to upload their results when they are released only if they applied within the specified period. Candidates are advised to check the University website for the specified period.

Screening Fee:  N2,500

Application Deadline: 
24th August, 2016.


Registration Procedure
Eligible candidates should log on to University website www.unilag.edu.ng. Then, take the following steps:


  • Click on Full-Time Undergraduate Admission

  • Click on Post-UTME Screening

  • Login with UTME number and surname in lowercase as password

  • Generate payment advice

  • Proceed to any commercial bank to make payment

  • Return to the Unilag portal to complete the screening form

FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY OWERRI – 2016/2017 POST-UTME SCREENING EXERCISE


Federal University of Technology, Owerri – This announcement is for the benefit of all candidates who chose Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) as their first choice Institution in the 2016 University Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) and scored 180 and above.


Eligible candidates would be required to pay a processing fee of Two Thousand Five Hundred Naira (N2,500.00).


Application Deadline: Friday; 12th August, 2016.


How To Apply
To register, follow the steps outlined below:



  • Click here to visit the University website

  • Click on Prospective students.

  • Click on “Click to Apply” under 2016/2017 Admission Screening Application.

  • Enter your JAMB Registration Number.

  • Select your payment mode (Generate Remita Retrieval Reference Number to pay at any bank or simply pay with your bank ATM card).

  • Proceed to any bank for your payment with your Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR).

  • Return to the Application page and enter your JAMB Registration number again.

  • Proceed with the completion of the form.

  • Correctly enter your O’Level results.

  • Upload “Clear Copies of 2016 UTME Result, O’Level results, First School Leaving Certificate, Birth Certificate, and Local Government Identification”.

  • Confirm your entries.

  • Submit your application.

  • Print out your acknowledgement slip.

  • Await the announcement from the University.

Note


  • Those who fail to register within the period will not be screened.

  • You must enter a valid mobile number and e-mail address for future communications.

  • Any candidate who fails to successfully submit his screening application online would automatically lose his/her chance of being considered for admission.

  • Any candidate who supplies false information will be disqualified.

KADUNA POLYTECHNIC – 2016/2017 POST-UTME SCREENING EXERCISE


Kaduna Polytechnic, Kaduna – This is to notify the general public that the School of Preliminary and Remedial Studies (SPRS), Kaduna Polytechnic commence the sale of Application form for the 2016/2017 Admission Exercise for its programmes from 8th August 2016 to 28t October, 2016. The programmes are Interim Joint Matriculation Board IJMB), Preliminary and Remedial Studies.

IJMB Programme


  • The programme which last for 12 Months of one session is to prepare candidates for Admission into 200 Level of Nigerian Universities of their choice.

  • Candidates for the programme must have five (5) relevant credits at SSCE level ie: WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB which must include English Language and Mathematics in not more than Two (2) sittings.

Preliminary Studies Programme


  • This is a one Academic Session Programme to prepare candidates for the Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges of Education Matriculation Examination into institutions and programmes of their choice.

  • Candidates applying for this programme must possess Five (5) Credits at SSCE level ie WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB which must include English Language and Mathematics in not more than Two (2) sittings.

Remedial Studies Programme


  • This programme is for one Academic the session and is designed for prospective candidates to remedy their SSCE deficiencies and write JAMB.

  • Candidates for the programme should possess at least Two (2) credits or five passes from WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB. Specifically, the NEW Remedial Programme has the following advantages:
    • Candidates shall undergo intensive Remedial Tutoring, with 75% minimum attendance in all subjects and satisfactory CA records;

    • Candidates shall be prepared for UTME that normally comes in April and then SSCE of both WAEC and NECO which normally comes up in May/June each year;

    • Candidates, who pick the Polytechnic as their Institution of first choice and meet the national cut off point at the UTME, shall be given “Special Consideration” for admission into the Polytechnic subject to meeting the SSCE admission
