Let"s see what Lenovo has to say about their sleek, elegant all in one Lenovo IdeaCentre A310. They simply describe it as a high definition TV, digital player, and personal computer (PC) all in one. They also say it is a sleek and elegant desktop suited for any of its users" needs. In our opinion, this all in one is very stylish and its elegant lines and design appeal to anyone. However, we were not so sure about its capabilities, so we decided to give it a try. We spent $ 799 on a brand new one and rented our money did not go to waste. And it did not! We were surprised how well this all in one managed to do in all our hard tests and also what hardware components the guys at Lenovo used to make this desktop as entertaining as possible. Let"s see the test results, along with some technical specs.
We started, like we always do, with the central processing unit. Inside the Lenovo IdeaCentre A310 we found a very potent Intel Pentium Dual Core T4400 processor working at a very good frequency of 2.20 GHz on a front side bus (other abbreviated FSB) of 800 MHz and on al L2 cache of just 1 MB. Do not let the small L2 cache fool you into thinking this CPU is less than it is. It was able to pass all our tests with an amazing speed and agility! We are really surprised about how well it did and can not wait to see what type of memory helped it. We rate the processor 10 out of 10 and look forward to awarding the same score to the RAM.
The Lenovo IdeaCentre A310 comes with just 2 GB of RAM. However, it uses DDR3 PC 8500 memory running at a high frequency of 1066 MHz. This allows it to pass almost any test without encountering even a problem. We are very happy about the memory, although 4 GB would have been even better. We give it 9 out of 10 points and hope the next model gets more RAM.
Next, it was time to test the Lenovo IdeaCentre A310"s graphics processing unit. We were reliably happy to find an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X4500 GPU that behaved nicely and managed to output high quality graphics on the 21.5 inch All In One HD display at a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, full HD. We give it 10 out of 10 here, although the GPU could have been better.
