How to Use Curriculum Vitae Examples

Each of them is different from the other. In practice one can find various forms of CVs. There are mainly five kinds of CV styles. These are:

1. Inventory CV

2. Targeted CV

3. Functional CV

4. Chronological CV

5. Combination CV

Each of the above mentioned CVs are meant for different situation and serve different purposes. As an example a Targeted CV is mainly used to focus your career path towards a particular goal. The goal could be a specific company or an industry or a particular job position. At the same time a Functional CV tries to list your accomplishments and achievements. The emphasis is more on what you have achieved, rather than the overall experience you have gained over the years. Accordingly each format of CV has its own respective objective.

The major areas that the CV is supposed to cover are the personal details, educational qualification, awards and accomplishments and the professional experience that the applicant has. Also, one can include the details about interests and hobbies. It is important for the job seekers to include the information about their objective, personal or professional. This information can be included at the very beginning of the CV Again a CV can have different requirements. A position for a finance or marketing executive will preferably be a professional resume on a plain white paper. However, a CV for a graphic designer or television producer will be more colorful and probably with graphic designs. It is always better not to include the date the CV was prepared, because it might lose its timeline. While composing the CV also take care of the application letter you have prepared. There should be a link between the two and each document should complement the other. Use keywords wherever you think it is suitable. It will enhance the credence of your CV An error that most applicants do is they try to use flowery language with long sentences. This must be absolutely avoided. The selection panel detests reading long paragraphs which depict nothing at the end.

While making conscious effort in reading through the curriculum vitae examples take good care in what information is being written and what is avoided. This will provide you a clear understanding of what you need to include in your CV Use bullet points wherever you think it will highlight the pertinent information. Compose the CV as per the requirement of the job position and make the potential employers feel why they need to recruit you and how they will benefit in return. If required get your CV proof read by someone else. In this way you will avoid minor mistakes as well. There is no harm being extra cautious. Remember to provide references if required and make sure to go through the CV before you appear for the interview. In this way you will be prepared to answer all the questions regarding your CV.
