The Place – A fast growing company in the hospitality sector is recruiting for the following:

JOB TITLE:  FACILITIES MANAGER
Location: Lagos
Job Type:  Permanent – Full time

The Facilities Manager will be responsible for the security, maintenance and services of our facilities to ensure that they are optimally running and provide most suitable business environment for our employees as well as customers.



RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Facilities manager will be involved in both strategic planning and day-to-day operations of our branches, particularly in relation to buildings and premises. His/her responsibilities will include:

  • Financial forecasting/budgeting

  • Planning and overseeing building work/renovation

  • Allocating and managing space within buildings

  • Managing building maintenance activities

  • Coordinating cleaning, repairs, maintenance and electrical services

  • Organising security and general administrative services

  • Ensuring that facilities meet government regulations and environmental, health and security standards

  • Advising on energy efficiency and cost-effectiveness

  • Actively engage with clients to ensure their satisfaction with service provided

  • Supervising multi-disciplinary teams of staff including cleaning, maintenance, electrical worlers and other artisan

  • Ensuring that direct surbodinates get basic training in facilities management to help develop them in planning and organisational skills

  • Ensuring that individual and team performance targets are identified, measured, feedback given and appropriate developmental or other corrective action take


REQUIREMENTS
 We require candidates who are technically competent, with excellent problem solving, analytical, IT and managerial skills. Also,  interpersonal and communication skills are essential for this role. The work is also varied so organisation, time management and the ability to handle a complex workload are important.


QUALIFICATION




  • BSc/HND in a technical or business management degree

  • At least 7 years experience (Min of 3 years in a managerial or supervisory position) managing high-end state-of-the-art faciliaites

  • Proven track record of managing people with excellent planning, cordination and organization skills.
