Project Manager

Job Description:

• Agreeing project objectives.

• Representing the client’s or organization’s interests.

• Providing advice on the management of projects.

• Organizing the various professionals working on a project.

• Carrying out risk assessment.

• Making sure that all the aims of the project are met.

• Making sure the quality standards are met.

• Using IT systems to keep track of people and progress.

• Recruiting specialists and sub-contractors.

• Monitoring sub-contractors to ensure guidelines are maintained.

• Organizational skills, Analytical skills, Well developed interpersonal skills and Numeracy skills.

• Commercial awareness, Communication skills, Team working skills and Diplomacy.

• Ability to motivate people.

• Management and leadership skills.

• Experience in Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring and Control and Closing of the projects are required.


Skills and Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree from a reputable university in relevant field.

• Minimum of two years of experience in construction.

• Planning, Verbal Communication, Written Communication, Attention to Detail, Administrative Writing Skills and Negotiating skills.

• Patience and diplomacy because the profession requires a collaborative approach.

• Ability to understand and analyse complex information and present it simply and accurately.

• An investigative mind, IT skills, attention to details and flexible approach to work.

• An interest in the law and the ability to understand regulations.

• A professional certification such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or Project IN Controlled Environment (PRINCE 2) is an added advantage.
