Marie Stopes International organization, Nigeria (MSION), a partner of the MSI, is currently undertaking a dramatic scale-up of health service delivery for low income women and couples in Nigeria under the AHME project. This includes expanding health services offered within the BlueStar network, clinics and rural Outreach programs. MSION aims to reduce maternal, newborn and child health morbidity and mortality through provision of high quality BEMONC, ANC/PNC and IMCI services. SALES COORDINATOR (NORTH)


GENERAL SUMMARY

Manages sales of the MSION’s product/s and services within defined geographic regions of Nigeria Ensure consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues through positive planning, deployment and management of sales representatives/personnel and MSION resources.

Identifies objectives, strategies and action plans to improve short- and long-term sales and earnings.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborates with SMD in establishing and recommending the most realistic sales goals for the company

Manages an assigned geographic sales area or product line to maximize sales revenues and meet set targets / objectives.

Establish and manage effective schedules and programs to coach, appraise and train sales personnel

Performs sales activities on major accounts (Key Accounts and Tender Business) and negotiates sales price and discounts in consultation with SMD.

Manages sales personnel and develops sales and sales support staff and review progress of sales roles throughout the assigned regions.

Accurately forecasts annual, quarterly and monthly revenue streams for assigned regions

Develops specific plans to ensure revenue growth in all MSION’s product/s

Provides quarterly results assessments of sales staff’s productivity and performance and advice management on when to apply ‘carrot’ (motivate) or the ‘stick’ (fire) a representative.

Oversee SM MSION’s resources deployed in the regions to ensure efficient use and stable sales results

Educates sales team by establishing programs/seminars in the areas of new account sales and growth, sales of planned new and emerging products

Train reps on improved presentation strategies, competitive strategies, proper use and level of sales and marketing support

Proper management of reps’ expenses.

Collaborates with SMD to establish and control budgets for sales promotion and trade show expenses

Holds regular meeting with sales staffs and collate reports from reps for management use.

QUALIFICATION / EXPERIENCE (ESSENTIAL)


University Degree in Biological Sciences, Pharmacy, and Nursing.

MBA in marketing will be an added advantage.

7 – 10 years of sales or related experience or training in pharmaceutical or health care / NGO sector

Proven experience and ability to motivate and lead the sales team.

Excellent oral and written communication skills, plus a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

A valid driver’s license.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your responsibilities as an Infection Prevention Officer shall include:


Keeping the entire office, its surroundings, client care areas and all used medical equipment tidy, neat and clean at all time

Encourage a commitment to accommodating clients’ special needs such as flexibility on working hours, strict privacy and confidentiality to generate demand for MSION services.

Ensure proper management and disposal of both general and medical waste.

Assist the clinical team in providing approved services trained on infection prevention

Assist with maintaining medical stock/a drug inventory and ordering register

Ensure all clinical Instruments are washed, sterilised and stored properly

Ensure all the drapes are properly washed and stored

Run errands including banking of daily income for the teams when appropriate

Promote and maintain a welcoming, friendly, professional and efficient atmosphere towards all clients at all times.

Carry out any other lawful duties assigned by the outreach Team Leader.

Assist with administrative work within limits when necessary.

Must have at least basic education to be able to read and write English.

JOB DESCRIPTION

This role is part of the Programmes Operations Team responsible for the leadership of all demand creation activities across the programme.

Working closely with R, M&E, Programme Managers and Channel Leads and reporting to the Operations Director, the SBCC Advisor analyses the behaviour of MSION’s existing and potential clients and develops cost effective strategies and action plans to ensure value for money on all demand creation activities through the network of MSION CMMOs and partners.

KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Leading the development of Demand Creation Strategies:

Articulate a clear demand generation strategy specific for each channels.

Clear on going analysis of our market, by segment, location, accessibility etc

Coordinate and Support all CMMOs activities across the programme

Wide reading of any research that will inform targeting for demand creation – highlight key points across the CMMO network

Networking regularly for information with CMMOs on activities, levels of success etc Establishment of Demand Creation KPIs in relation to programme Strategy Matrix exchange with line management for strategic learning re ROI

Designing and delivering effective training to staff and partners:

Training assessments conducted in line with DC strategy and staff and partner surveys Trainings developed and packaged for on-line, face to face and other skills development outcomes Development of technical guidelines for the design, implementation and evaluation of behavioural interventions

Development of effective marketing materials that provide excellent information in an appropriate format, promoting the brand and boosting client numbers:

Materials developed and tested

Different platforms (print, social media, website, spoken word, media campaigns etc) tested for ROI and impact

Field work to test and study Partnerships with local organisations for demand creation Visibility compliance all projects

QUALIFICATIONS, CAPABILITIES/SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Degree in relevant field or equivalent experience

Technical expertise in the area of demand creation/marketing

Excellent knowledge of a range of media (web, social, print) for information and demand creation

Knowledge of social marketing, reproductive health, maternal, HIV and/or child health preferred.

Demonstrated technical expertise developing designing and running training

Experience of DfiD, USAID, Gates funded projects, including working in a diverse team environment preferred

Experience logical frameworks, behaviour change models, marketing planning and program management tools preferred

Ability to work effectively in partnership with a variety of audiences and organizations especially CBOs

Fluency in spoken and written English, and pidgin

5-10 years work experience is required from a qualified candidate

Practical experience and willingness to travel to low-income and/or rural community mobilization.

Experience in managing volunteers and team members, including recruitment, training and support.

Sensitive to issues of participation and preferably with knowledge of participatory approaches.

Excellent writing, organizational, teamwork and multitasking capabilities, presentation and interpersonal communication skills preferred

Good people and communication abilities including training and facilitation skills.
