SYSTEM ENGINEER


JOB DESCRIPTION

Systems Engineer is responsible to build out, maintain, and troubleshoot the rapidly expanding Information Technology infrastructure including but not limited to in-house and Rackspace hosted servers, applications and storage.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure.
Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools.

Setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software, validating and implementing critical system patches, and allocating mass storage space.

Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.

Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes.

Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.

Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks.

Participate in the design of information and operational support systems.

Administer, monitor and maintain in-house hosted and cloud hosted applications, servers and storage.

Analyze system faults, troubleshoot and runs diagnostic tests on operating systems and hardware to detect problems.

Configure, implement and operate domain name controllers. − Provide 2nd and 3rd level support.

Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.

Handle and maintain a Tier III datacenter infrastructure and operations.

Upgrading servers to latest stable firmware releases and applying patches.


QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or any other related discipline.

Minimum of 5 years experience in Windows Server support and administration.

Minimum of 3 years in cloud hosting, cloud storage and Rackspace servers and applications.

Windows Active Directory deployment and administration. − Microsoft Exchange Server deployment and administration.

Proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting UNIX /Linux based environments.

Symantec, Trend Micro, Sophos, Kaspersky and/or MacAfee anti-virus − Backup Exec, Windows/NT Backup, Symantec Server Backup Exec.

Internet/TCIP/IP, DNS/E-mail/communication issues

Strong knowledge in Citrix, SharePoint, Microsoft Navision, Intego

Significant experience with major enterprise level database (Oracle, DB2, Sybase, SQL Server).

Solid experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks. − Solid networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP)

Strongly familiar with Tier III Datacenter infrastructure and operations.


NETWORK ENGINEER


SUMMARY

Network Engineer is responsible for designing, organizing, modifying, installing, and supporting the company’s Information Technology Network subsystemincludingbutnot limited to LANs, WANs, ISP, intranet systems, and network segments.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Install and support LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet, and intranet systems. Design and implementation of new network solutions and improving resilience of the current environment.

Install and maintain network hardware and software.

Monitor networks to ensure security and availability to specific users. Determine network and system requirements.

Maintain integrity of the network, server deployment, and security.

Ensure network connectivity throughout the company’s LAN/WAN infrastructure is on par with technical considerations.

Perform network IP address assignment and VLAN distribution. Assign routing protocols and routing table configuration.

Capacity management and audit of IP addressing and hosted devices within datacenters.

Configuration of hosted IP voice services.

Assign configuration of authentication and authorization of directory services.

Maintain network servers such as file servers, VPN gateways, and intrusion detection systems.

Basic configuration of firewalls.

Support and administration of firewall environments in line with IT security policy.

Administer servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, personal digitalassistants, smartphones, software deployment, security updates and patches.

Evaluate and modify system’s performance.

Upgrading data network equipment to latest stable firmware releases.

Analyze and isolate issues.

Identify user needs.


QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or any other related discipline NO EXCEPTION).

CCNA and or CCNP Certification.

Minimum of 5 years experience in network design and support in Cisco networking environment, including expert knowledge of TCP/IP and working hands on knowledge eof Routing and Ethernet Switching in IPv4 and IPv6 addressing and subnetting.

Minimum of 2 years experience in firewall and network security solutions: CISCO ASA, IDS, IPS, Filtering, CISCO VPN, and Cyberoam.

Hands on experience implementing and administering network devices, setting and maintaining policies and rights/security within the environment: CISCO MCU, CISCO WLC, and CISCO AP.

Extensive skills designing, configuring and troubleshooting enterprise routing protocols, QoS policies and priority queuing, and network flow management.

Demonstrated strong infrastructure design, configuration and troubleshooting skills.

Ability to prioritize and multitask.

Willingness to learn new technologies and maintain industry knowledge. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

Experience with Cabling Plants.

Strong project management skills required.

Strong understanding of the OSI Interconnect model and how it relates to the design and deployment of structured networks required.

Ability to handle multiple projects required.

Good Visio skills are required.

Technical & Project Implementation presentations may be periodically required.

Strongly familiar with Tier III Datacenter infrastructure and operations.


MESSAGING AND COLLABORATION ARCHITECT


JOB DESCRIPTION

Total 11+ years with Minimum five (5) years of technical experience supporting a multi-site Lync environment ,Exchange and Active directory. with a minimum of three (3) year’s specific knowledge of Enterprise Voice integration solutions with Avaya Communication Manager,Cisco Cucm and other Gateway/PBX’s

Minimum eight (8) Jobs in Nigeria Years of technical experience in support Exchange environment.

Knowledge & familiarity with Exchange Server 2007/2010/2013and MS UM Dial-plans.

Responsible for migrating Messaging and collaboration environment to O365

Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsible for ongoing maintenance and support of the Exchange 2010/2013, O365 and Lync 2013 systems, and all associated infrastructure components.

Tracking mails for various issues and reports as per management need

Develop and implement strategies for providing facilitative support resulting in fewer incidents, increased availability, or accelerated deployments.
