BUDGET ACCOUNTANT – 2 POSITIONS


JOB DESCRIPTION

To take responsibility for OPEX and CAPEX (where applicable) management to include organize the annual financial budget, quarterly forecasts, monitor financial operations and reconcile financial accounts as assigned and applicable to the division Participate in annual budget preparation and budget re-forecasting /reviews including dynamic forecast for the Division

Review budget and expenditure reports for the Division and prepare budget variance report.

Maintain financial PPPs for the division, ensuring compliance with GAAP requirements and MTN accounting policies.

Compile statistical and financial data to support budget preparation and ensure input data is provided for dynamic budget, forecast on headcount and travel preparation.

Examine budget estimates for completeness, accuracy and conformance with MTNN procedures and regulations.

Manage the accrual process and prepare detailed reports about discrepancies and amendments that occur in the budget during the financial year and other performance reports on a timely basis for relevant stakeholders.

Analyse records of present and past operations, trends and costs, estimated and realized revenues, administrative commitments and obligations incurred in operations.

Maintain accurate record of all OPEX /CAPEX transactions on the ERP system.

Facilitate the management of vendor relationships.

Investigate and resolve OPEX issues and respond to queries from other departments regarding budget.

Experience & Training

First degree in any relevant discipline

Minimum of 3 years’ experience on financial analysis or budget management

Industry relevant experience will be an added advantage Training:

Financial and Management Accounting.

Budgeting and cash management.

ERP training (preferably IFS).

BANKING SERVICES ADVISOR


JOB DESCRIPTION

To monitor the banking services provided to MTNN and ensure compliance across board to the Service Level Agreements (SLAs) between MTNN and banks.

Coordinate MTNN banking services.

Collate and analyse data on cash movements, bank charges, interest rates, exchange rate movements and placements.

Set up and manage MTN bank accounts, monitoring bank tariffs and price book for bank charges.

Verify all General Ledger balances relating to bank accounts, identifying banking service gaps across the business units that interface with banks.

Monitor sweeps from various sub accounts to main accounts for compliance, ensuring credit interest is accurately entered and applied every month as agreed by the various banks.

Review banking Service Level Agreements (SLAs) in line with changes in the banking environment, ensuring compliance issues and complaints relating to banking services are followed up and resolved.

Implement Treasury policies, processes, and procedures, maintaining Treasury records and audit trail in strict compliance to MTNN policies and procedures.

Coordinate monthly reconciliation meeting, providing banking reports for year-end audit as it relates to Treasury.

Conduct research and compile data, benchmarking on Treasury and Banking services.

Measure the standard of banking services provided to MTNN

Collate and store media information (electronic and hard copy) to assist MTNN develop and maintain a standard Treasury department

Assist in implementing new business processes within MTNN Treasury functions and across divisional functions.

Implement systems for the efficient administration of Treasury department

Obtain feedbacks and recommendations from banks on service issues and standards, monitoring and reporting on the quality of banking services.

Manage information flow, ensuring clear correspondence and up-to-date communication with banks at all times.

Interface with bankers, financial institutions on behalf of the Treasury department.

Interface with MTN N departments on behalf of the Treasury department.

EXPERIENCE & TRAINING

First degree – Accounting, Economics or any Finance related discipline.

A full qualification/membership in a professional accounting association (ACA, ACCA, ACMA, ACT, CFA) will be an advantage

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an area of spe…ation; with experience working with others

Experience working in a medium organization

Experience in a financial environment in Treasury/Banking.

Familiarity with good accounting practices and the Nigerian policy environment.

Extensive bank reconciliation experience

Audit, compliance and/or internal control experience

Knowledge of banking processes and products.

Customer service or performance management experience will be an added advantage

MANAGER, VAS SUPPORT


JOB DESCRIPTION

To manage the installation, commissioning and maintenance of all value added services platforms

Resolve VAS and data related faults from Second Line Operation and Maintenance.

Administer Oracle Database and Solaris System.

Develop tools and monitoring scripts using Perl and Unix Scripts.

Support Value Added Services Applications.

Develop multi thread applications using OOP Languages such as Java, C++, .NET and Perl.

Perform Software and Hardware installation.

Ensure that ITIL best practices are strictly adhered to. a. Upgrade / load approved patches and fixes. b. Produce test documents.

Perform integration and acceptance tests.

Implement change request/planned work on platforms using established Change Management procedures.

Monitor systems and applications on site and remotely.

Resolve, log, analyze and escalate faults on the platforms.

Ensure systems security by carrying out regular file system and database backups, logging of all activities on platforms and regulating access to systems, ensuring confidentiality of information.

Conduct monthly routine preventive maintenance and perform software installations.

Network and build solid relationships with internal units and relevant third parties (e.g. strategic investors, technical and finance partners, business consultants etc.) and develop a close working relationship with relevant information sources to provide an integrated service.

Maintain effective working relationships with internal and external suppliers.

Coordinate, coach and influence external partners and essential support departments across MTNN’s business units to deliver a seamless pre-sales and post-sales service experience.

Serve the Division’s internal customers and provide solutions to improve the customer experience.

Strategic Partnerships with MTNN leadership team to drive awareness on expected behaviours and impact on non-compliance on bottom line results and company image/reputation.

Drive planned strategy for the successful delivery of MTN Group and MTNN transformation initiatives focusing on Customer centricity, including Perfect 10 Project.

Drive an increase in MTNN’s Net Promoter Score.

Ensure resolution of subscriber problems.

Interface with various units in MTN; VAS planning, service creation, IS, HLS/DCS, TX services, switch operations etc in the development and support of VAS and data services

Liaise with vendors in the development and deployment of VAS solutions and equipment testing

Liaise with Network Implementation, Customer Care and Marketing units where required

Provide support for other MTN Opcos as may be required

Experience & Training

First degree in Electrical/Electronics, Computer Engineering or related discipline

Minimum 6 years’ experience which includes:

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an area of specialization; with experience in supervising/managing others

Experience working in a medium to large organization

Hands-on experience in VAS Messaging systems, products and applications. Solaris and Databases System Administration

Unix/Oracle/ITIL/Java Certifications Training:

UNIX Shell script

PERL scripts

Product specific trainings on VAS core platforms and services ( WAP, SMSC, USSD, subscription systems)


Minimum Qualification
