Requirements

Job Title: Network Budget & Customer Support Analyst

Job Description



  • This role co-ordinates the operational part of Networks capital expenditure and financial compliance.

  • It supports all Networks departments in interactions with Finance, Supply Chain Management, and  Legal & Reguatory.


Key Responsibilities



  • Facilitate Network procurement processes leading to the issuance of Purchase Orders

  • Enforce the provisions of the Financial Delegation of Authority (FDOA) and other financial derivaties as it rekates to Networks expenditure

  • Ensure accurate Network Capex Accruaks are maintained with Finance

  • Maintain accurate records for all Network purchase requisition and Managed Capacity committments at all times

Looking for a suitable candidate to fill the role of GL Revenue Accounting Executive who would be responsible for:


  • Ensure accuracy in recognition of Interconnect Revenue & Post-paid revenue reporting

Job Purpose:


  • This function is expected to act as the representative for business, technical and functional requirements in the area of IP Packet backbone solutions to support both Mobile and Enterprise services.

  •  The function will define the optimal topology of the IP core network to meet a premium service level agreements and industry architecture for next generation IP networks.

  • To evaluate network design and define integrated planning/implementation criteria and guidelines with partners for capacity management and dimensioning of the IP core network.

  • Also would evaluate delivery of IP projects to designed SLAs whilst exploring the most efficient ways to deliver any new functional requirements placed upon the 2G/3G/LTE Mobile Network which includes but not limited to voice, data and other services.

Key Accountabilities:


  • PS/MPBN/MPLS Core Planning and Architecture designed to ensure uninterrupted voice and data service delivery

  • Analyze business requirements and processes before converting ideas into a solution design; where required research into new technology and development in Telecommunication industry with regards to IP packet backbone and Data services.

  • Liaise with partner teams, Airtel HQ and other departments to assure seamless IP packet backbone and data network architecture, implementation and deployment of key networks systems through the full delivery life cycle from initial design to full operational handover.

  • Ensure projects are aligned with the Annual Operating Program (AOP)

  • Ensure that all IP MPLS devices including PS core nodes are functioning (Enhanced packet Core /Mobile Packet Core) as per the business and network requirements.

  • On concept of solutions proffered and prior to implementation, documentation in the form of SD,  HLD and LLD designs should be prepared to include technical functionality, platform design and platform integration with relevant network elements.

Capacity planning:


  • Perform adequate dimensioning, of all IP nodes, interfaces MPC/EPC related Nodes – in accordance with network growth and projections.

  • Continuously being the loop of the network traffic, licenses, trends and various parameters to ensure the Network elements are operating as expected. Where required, take corrective action with input from Operations and performance teams.

  • Effective  understanding of Operational and Business support systems (OSS/BSS) for performance reporting, Key performance indicator (KPI) monitoring and tuning for effective end to end planning of data services.

  • To acquire and retain more post-paid customers and generate revenue for the business.

Duties and Responsibilities


  • Responsible for the implementation, acquisition & retention strategy for prospective and existing accounts in sector of assignment:
    • Responsible for the implementation, acquisition & retention strategy for prospective and existing accounts in the zone

    • Visit a minimum of 5 Corporate Organizations per day, 25 visits per week, 100 visits per month, therefore for 6 months = 600 visits

    • Create opportunities to run presentations of our Corporate products to sector of assignment


  • Responsible for evolving account development plan and relationship management process for accounts in sector of assignment guided by the signed service level agreement:
    • Drive the sale and activation of the above products across the sector.

    • Grow the usage of Corporate products in the sector allocated to you

    • Create exceptional opportunities to sell special products like E1’s, Blackberry’s and data cards in the sector


  • Responsible for analysis of competitor’s activities as well as relevant market development and proposing pre-emptive counter measures:
    • Monitor the activities of competition and develop or recommend counter measures to win competition


  • Responsible for the day to day management of all Airtel relationships in the sector:
    • Develop good relationship management processes with both existing accounts and prospective customers

    • Encourage and develop opportunities to have Airtel presence in all CORPORATES, POST-PAID RETAIL & SME COMPANIES within sector


  • Responsible for the weekly and monthly reports on post paid subscribers activities, bill delivery and collection in the sector of assignment:
    • Report timely, of all initiatives, potential prospects, queries, challenges, call plan and new sales made in your sector Every Friday 4.30pm

    • Maintain and manage database of all Corporate customers in your sector


  • Establish and maintain excellent relationship management with existing Post-paid subscribers within the sector:
    • Encourage and develop opportunities to have Airtel presence in all CORPORATES, POST-PAID RETAIL & SME COMPANIES in your sector

    • Encourage ALL existing customer to pay their bills timely to avoid barring, increase debt portfolio and churn within sector

    • Create symbiotic relationships in events sponsorship with Corporate Accounts all in a view to drive sale of our corporate products and revenue growth

  • To support compliance to the defined, policies, processes and procedures rolled out, provide opinion on process/policy alignment with best practices and make recommendations for improvement.

  • The role holder will lead the effective roll-out and governance of policy and processes for assigned functions, enable, monitor and support closure of audit observations.

Duties and Responsibilities
Process/Policy Compliance:


  • Process and Policy design and reengineering, designing SOPs and check sheets, monitors and reports process KPIs performance

  • Create interface & co-ordination to ensure compliance to policies, process and procedures for the OPCO.

  • Constantly engage with assigned functions at Group and OpCo’s to align the processes and closure of all open issues

  • Develop regulatory / governance matrix and test compliance, identify gaps and work to close these.

  • Drafting of Internal audit quarterly update to the business

Improvement projects:


  • Identifies and drive projects for assigned functions both – Business and Customer Impacting and revenue/cost impacting and Mentoring Project Teams, using lean and six sigma tools

  • Computation of quarterly internal assurance score

  • Project support for automation of IA reporting functionality

Ensure best in class processes are in place and adhered to:


  • Ensures that processes and procedures in place are designed and work as per the standards, and can efficiently support functional/business objectives.

  • Ensure that functional processes add value to the business.

  • Ensure that relevant metrics are in place to measure performance and can efficiently guide management on the decision making process.

  • Work with business functions to identify process gaps arising from weak or inadequate business process documentation

Effective Interface with Internal Assurance group team:


  • Effective engagement with the IA group team to define the audit and gap areas.

  • Engaging within the OPCO to ensure the learning’s of the audit findings from other OpCo’s are implemented as best practice, ensuring the reduction in the learning cycle.

  • Effective implementation of the learning tracker action items for the OPCO

  • Ensuring all the audit observations of the OpCo’s are effectively closed.

  • Ensuring process gaps are identified and shared with Process owner & Function  head for implementation.

  • Ensuring technology gaps are identified and shared with IT for implementation

  • Interface with IA and assigned functions for audits and closures
    • Logistics / Administrative Support/ Supervision of Admin staff


Relevant Skill and Experience


  • A Bachelor’s Degree

  • ICAN or ACCA required

  • CISA an added advantage

  • 3 – 5 years of experience  in Audit firm

  • Industry experience an added advantage
