Selling products and creating store display at the store outlets

Researching and predicting sales trends

Ensure products are sold at strategic points

Develop, deliver and communicate visual concepts and strategies to promote sales stores

Working closely with visual display staff and department heads to decide how goods should be displayed to maximise customer interest and sales;

Controlling stock levels based on forecasts for the season;

Maintaining awareness of competitors’ performance;

Gathering information on customers’ reactions to products;

Analysing previous sales and reporting on the current product sales

Qualifications


  • B Sc. in Civil Engineering or Masters in Water Resources

Job Title: Dams Rehabilitation Design / Supervision Engineer

Job Purpose


  • Will be tasked with the responsibility of performing a variety of engineering duties associated with existing Dam survey and submit reports on Dam performance, instrumentation, measurements, rehabilitation, design (when need arises), knowledgeable in construction, maintenance and operation of dams, water control structures and other related civil engineering projects, including materials testing and research.

  • Participates in the engineering review of registration permits for dams.

  • Contribute to the development of the efficiency of water delivery structures, such as dams, tainter gates, canals, pipes, penstocks, or cofferdams.

  • Analyze storm water or floodplain drainage systems to control erosion, stabilize river banks, repair channel streams, or design bridges.

  • Contribute to the analysis recommendations of chemical, biological, or other wastewater treatment methods to prepare water for industrial or domestic use.

  • Design pumping systems, pumping stations, pipelines, force mains, or sewers for the collection of wastewater.

  • Design domestic or industrial water or wastewater treatment plants, including advanced facilities with sequencing batch reactors (SBR), membranes, lift stations, head works, surge overflow basins, ultraviolet disinfection systems, aerobic digesters, sludge lagoons, or control buildings.

Qualifications


  • B Sc. in Civil Engineering or Masters in Water Resources

  • Minimum of 5 years (Nigerian) and 10 years (Non-Nigerian) of General experience and minimum of 3 years’ experience and 5 years’ experience in Water Resources.

  • Good knowledge of AutoCAD or other computer based design packages;

Professional Certification:


  • Member of Governing Council of Professional Engineers in the Country of Origin

Job Title: Civil / Water Resource Engineer

Responsibilities


  • Designing overall schemes, such as flood defence programmes, and associated structures, such as pumping stations, pipeline, pipework/distribution and earthworks (the scale of the design may range from an initial outline to a full, detailed design);

  • Supporting other project managers and directors within the business and across the wider market;

  • Keeping up to date with environmental matters, and being aware of policy and developments in this area;

  • Presenting technical data or project results to both technical and non-technical clients and colleagues;

  • Monitoring the progress of projects from beginning to end – from the feasibility stage, to design through to construction and handover – or supervising one section of a large project;

  • Controlling budgets at project level;

  • Administering contracts and ensuring that work is completed to deadline;

  • Using computer simulations to analyse, for example, potential dam failure;

  • devising flood defence strategies, perhaps including river and flood plain modelling, economic studies and consultation with affected people;

  • Monitoring flood levels at times of high risk.

  • Understand or design Rural untarred roads within the Irrigation scheme

Educational Requirements


  • B.Sc in Civil Engineering and preferably MSc in Water related studies

  • 10 years work experience.

  • Should be conversant with relevant national laws.

  • Post graduate qualification and or membership of a professional body will be an added advantage.

  • Must have at least 5 years’ experience in similar projects.
